HCC brings the community together for another successful fun day

Saturday 16th July from 2.30pm to 6.30pm, the community of Barking and Dagenham came togther to celebrate the UPNEY COMMUNITY FUNDAY. The event was organised by the Hedgecock Community Centre (HCC), and supported and sponsored by Barking and Dagenham Council along with various community organisations.

Amongst the usual activities on display were Boxers Fitness Academy (BFA) and Community Martial Arts (CMA), demonstrating their strengths and skills to the many onlookers.

In attendance amongst more than 300 people were Cllr Darren Rodwell, Leader of Barking and Dagenham Council, the Civic Mayor of LBBD, Cllr Faruk Choudhury, Ward Cllrs Lynda Rice and Rocky Gill and various community leaders and activists.

A huge thanks to our staff, volunteers, and trustees for pulling together to make this yet another successful event, especially during this extreme heat.
