GBS celebrates student success at Summer graduation
Global Banking School (GBS), is the largest private provider of Higher Education in the UK, with more than 25,000 students in London, Birmingham, Manchester and Leeds. They work in partnership with several UK universities to deliver vocational, undergraduate, and postgraduate programmes in accounting and finance, health and social care, tourism, business and management, digital technology, construction management and entrepreneurship to students often seeking a change in career or a second chance at education.
Global Banking School (GBS) has celebrated the success of its students with a graduation ceremony was held at the Queen Elizabeth II Centre, on Tuesday 11th July 2023. This event marks an important milestone in the lives of these exceptional individuals, who have worked diligently to achieve their academic goals, having to balance their studies with a range of commitments including work, family and caring.
The graduating class of 2023 have received awards marking their success in a range of business, healthcare and teaching related subjects. GBS students are all either in full time work or raising families, but GBS have developed and honed ways of working with and supporting these students such that their dreams of improving their lives through education can become reality. Our students have demonstrated remarkable determination, perseverance, and intellectual growth throughout their educational journey. Under the guidance of dedicated faculty members, these students have acquired a comprehensive set of skills and knowledge that will serve as a solid foundation for their future endeavours and ensure they are making valued contributions to society.
Almost 1,000 guests have been attended the GBS ceremony and over 300 graduates have received their certificates. GBS was proud to have Sir Graham Brady, prominent Conservative MP for Altrincham and Sale West, and Chair of the Conservative Party 1922 Committee, as a guest of honour Sir Graham has addressed our graduates and celebrated their remarkable achievements. Also, others distinguishing guests who attended the graduating ceremony were Hon Mr Virendra Sharma MP for Ealing & Southall and Hon Dr Rupa Huq MP for Ealing & Acton, Cllr Nazma Rahman (Mayor of Camden), Cllr Abdul Wahid (Cabinet Member for Jobs, Skills and Growth, Tower Hamlets), Kavin Mccole (Managing Director UK India Business Council), Steven O’Brien, Editor of the London Magazine and dignitaries from the British Army and British Airforce.
Professor Ray Lloyd, Chief Executive Officer, said of the occasion as below:
“We are immensely proud of our new graduates. They have to overcome many challenges to complete their studies and we are immensely proud of what they have achieved. It gives us much satisfaction to celebrate their success with them, just as it has been a privilege to work with such an extraordinary group of people as they have progressed through their challenging journey with us at GBS. They have grasped the opportunity that a GBS education can provide, and we are confident that they will now go on to achieve even more in their careers. We wish them every success for the future.” The graduation ceremony was a joyous occasion filled with a sense of accomplishment, pride, and anticipation for the future. Families, friends, faculty members, and distinguished guests will gather to honour and celebrate. GBS is immensely proud of each graduate, recognising their unique contributions and the positive impact they will undoubtedly make in their respective fields.
