Fly To Allah SWT With The Fast Flying Ramadan (18)
“Inna anzalnahu fi laylati al-qadr. Wa ma adraka ma laylatu al-qadr. Laylatu al-qadr khayrun min alfi shahr.”
“Indeed, We sent it (the Qur’an) down during the Night of Decree. And what can make you know what the Night of Decree is? The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months.”
We have seen in earlier parts how realities align with the Qur’an. For instance, what is unknown is much greater than what is known. The Qur’an was revealed in Ramadan, during Laylatul Qadr, the Night of Power, the Night of Decree. With the revelations of the Qur’an, men and jinn came to know the eternal truth. The code of life, the purpose of life, yet the details of Laylatul Qadr remain unknown.
We have been told it is greater than a thousand months, an undefined, immeasurable value. We can’t put a number on it. It wasn’t enumerated at the time of the greatest Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The maths wasn’t done during the time of Khulafaye Rashidun nor at any time since then. Neither could the future hold any algorithm to equate this undone math. It’s too big, transcendent.
However, notably, there is a clear difference between the undefined world and the Qur’an with which it aligns. The Qur’an is the definition; it gives definition to the undefined world. Let me explain: a scientific fact about material particles is that they are in constant vibration, revolving around their stationary centre, and the centre revolves around a bigger core. The stationary core holds a defined value for the revolving particles. And the core propels into greater cores as all things that exist are evolving and are subject to change, except the Qur’an. It never changes; it is the ultimate definition.
Reflect on this, ponder deeply. We are in the immensely blessed last ten days of Ramadan. The Qur’an was revealed this month. So the time is perfect to immerse ourselves in its teachings, to explore its depths, and thereby to grasp the true essence of existence. It is an opportunity to forge a closer connection with our Creator, Allah SWT. It is only through this divine connection and understanding that we can truly comprehend the purpose of our lives, as bestowed upon us by the Giver of life.
