Bangladesh Probashi Kallyan Parishad distributes flood relief aid to the needy people of Hobiganj, Bangladesh.

Bangladesh Probashi Kallyan Parishad UK (BPKP) raised 4 lakh taka from contributions within their management and members at short notice for the flood victims of Bangladesh.

On 1st September, the Sylhet Branch of BPKP distributed more than 400 food packs and medicines to four villages in the Raipur region of Hobiganj, Bangladesh.

Present amongst the distribution team was renowned Pir Ataur Rahman, DG of Sylhet Rotary Club and local representatives. The final distribution took place from Jalalabad Primary School, Jalalabad, Hobigonj.

 BPKP is a campaign organisation working for the betterment of the non-resident Bangladeshis. BPKPs work involves working with the Bangladesh High Commission, Bangladesh MPs and the Mayor of Sylhet in resolving the airport harassment issues, the National ID Card and the “Save Our Property” campaign amongst other things.  More information can be found on the website www.bpkp.org.
