Community Get-Together unites South East London at Keston Village Hall

On Sunday, 21 December 2025, the South East Bangladeshi Association (SEBA) successfully hosted a vibrant and well-attended community get-together at Keston Village Hall, Bromley, bringing together more than 150 residents from across South East London. The event was a joyful celebration of cultural heritage, unity, and community spirit, held in a warm and inclusive atmosphere.


The programme was professionally hosted by Hasan Mahmud and supervised by Mohammed Mamun. Proceedings commenced with a heartfelt welcome address from Association President Moynul Islam, followed by a recitation from the Holy Qur’an by Master Uzair, setting a respectful and uplifting tone for the day.
Families and community members enjoyed a wide range of engaging activities throughout the event. Children took part enthusiastically in drawing and Qira’at competitions, while the ladies’ musical chairs competition added energy and laughter, with prizes awarded to the winners amid much applause.
A key highlight of the programme was the official introduction of the Association’s newly appointed committee, led by:

- Hasan Mahmud – Vice President
- Mohammed Mamun – Secretary
- Tarek Aziz – Assistant Secretary
- Hussain Miah – Treasurer
- Jia Rahman – Organising Secretary

The cultural segment captivated the audience with memorable performances. The Bangladesh National Anthem, performed by close-up artist Rana Khan, evoked a strong sense of pride, followed by soulful songs from rising talent Durba Deb, whose heartfelt performances were warmly received.
The Association expressed its sincere appreciation to its dedicated volunteers; Mahmud Jnr, Kabir Miah, Anar Miah, Shahadoth Sayem, Rahin, Tanvir, Tahmid, Shaon, Rashed, and Iftekhar; along with the women’s volunteer team led by Farzana, for their tireless efforts in ensuring the event’s success.
