Post Desk : Two more accused in the case filed over the gang rape of a woman at Murari Chand (MC) College in Sylhet made confessional statements on Sunday afternoon.

Masum and Tareq gave the statements in the Sylhet Chief Metropolitan Magistrate’s Court.

After recording their statements under Section 164 of Code of Criminal Procedure, Magistrate sent them to prison.
In the morning, investigation officer of the case produced the two before the court after expiry of five-day remand and prayed for recording their statements.

On Saturday, Rajon Mia, Md Ainuddin and Mahbubur Rahman Rony gave confessional statements in the Sylhet Chief Metropolitan Magistrate’s Court.

On Friday, Saifur Rahman, Rabiul Islam, and Arjun Lasker made confessional statements under section 164 in the case.

On September 25 evening, a group of youths raped a woman at MC College hostel.

The husband of the victim filed a case the same night with Shah Poran Police Station accusing Saifur Rahman (28), Shah Mahbubur Rahman Roni (25), Arjun Lasker (25), Mahfuzur Rahman Masum (25), Tarek Ahmed (28), and Rabiul Islam (25).
