A resilient SYA are league cup champions!

On Monday 25th October at the Mile End Stadium, East London, Shadow Youth Alliance FC (SYA) were triumphant against Soul Youth FC at the Sporting Foundation’s (BFA) Summer League Cup Final 2021.

A scintillating game played by the two teams. However, SYA had the edge with the young and rising stars;

Displaying their talent in front of a large crowd, the final score was 2:1 to SYA.
The SYA goal scorers were Zayden Uddin and Abid Haque. Captain Syed Tanvir Ahmed got both the assists. SYA started the game very strongly creating 3 brilliant opportunities to take the lead. However, with their first shot on target Soul FC scored against the run of play. SYA showed brilliant character to get one back before half time after Zayden finished off from inside the penalty box. After the break SYA played some brilliant football on the floor and scored a great team goal finished off by Abid. SYA went on to miss further opportunities to finish the game off, but managed to hold on for a great win. SYA also had a great squad and the subs all came on and made a huge impact as well as an army of fans to cheer them on from the stands.
The BFA league started in May and finished in August. SYA has one of the youngest squads in the league with some exciting and young players and were very close to challenging for the league this year.
“After the success in this cup final, we want to push for the summer league title next year with this young and exciting squad.” Said Manager Anamul Haque. “Some of our young players regularly travel from as far as Luton because of their dedication and passion for SYA.” He added.
Also present to lift up the trophy were Akrom Miah and Ripon Miah.
