TKO Boxing Club delivers a Platinum Jubilee Community Sports Day

Published: 13 June 2022

On Sunday 12th June, at the Jim Peter’s Stadium, Dagenham, TKO Boxing hosted the Platinum Jubilee Community Champions Day 2022.

From midday until 5pm, dozens of people attended and participated in an action-packed sunny afternoon of boxing, football and athletics as well as bouncy castles and food stalls.

It was a perfect mixture of sporting activities for all age groups ranging from toddlers to adults, and coupled with the fantastic weather it was a very successful day.

The exhibition fitness, running and boxing sessions were showcased by Boxer’s Fitness Academy (BFA).

TKO Boxing and the community sports day event was the brainchild of Shochall Salique, who’s been leading the organisation for many years now. “I wanted to do this event for a longtime and found the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee a perfect reason for these celebrations.”  Said Shochall.

“We managed to secure a bit of funding which provided for some refreshments and hire costs.

In the future, we want to do much bigger and better community events, partnering up with local providers such as BFA and others.” added Shochall.

There was the ‘egg and spoon’ race to end what was a very successful event.

TKO Boxing Club is based at the Jim Peter’s Stadium offering boxing and football for all. Including

  • group classes
  • women only boxing
  • 1 to 1 coaching

  • and much more
