During this month, we abstain from food, drink, and other physical needs from dawn until sunset. This act of fasting may seem challenging at first, but it provides us with a unique opportunity to strengthen our willpower and discipline.

As Muslims, we are encouraged to use this time to reflect on our faith and seek a deeper connection with Allah SWT. It is important to note that Ramadan is not just about abstaining from food and drink, but it is also about self-discipline, self-control, and spiritual growth. This is a time to practice patience, humility, and gratitude.

The Qur’an was revealed in the blessed month of Ramadan, and it holds immense significance for believers. Muslims all around the world read and study the Qur’an more often during this month. However, it is important to go beyond just reading and allocate time for in-depth studying of the Qur’an. The meaning of the Qur’an is greater and deeper than the ocean, and Ramadan provides the perfect opportunity to dive deep into it.

Allah SWT said in the Qur’an: “Had We sent down this Qur’an upon a mountain, you would surely have seen it humbling itself and rending asunder by the fear of Allah” (Al-Hashr 59:21). This verse highlights the power and magnitude of the Qur’an and its message.

 

Despite its magnitude, Allah SWT made it simple for us to connect to the Qur’an in this holy month of Ramadan. It is a time of spiritual awakening and growth, and it is a time to connect with Allah SWT and the teachings of the Qur’an. This month provides a unique opportunity for Muslims to gain a deeper understanding of their faith and strengthen our relationship with Allah SWT.
