The Shadwell Dragons are proud to announce their second-place finish at the Nowka Bais 2024 Dragon Boat Race Competition held on Sunday, 21st July. Securing silver in this prestigious event is a testament to the team’s dedication, skill, and relentless drive for excellence.

The competition was intense, with all races showcasing the high level of competitiveness and sportsmanship that dragon boat racing embodies. It was particularly exciting to see new teams from diverse parts of the UK join the event, adding to the vibrant and inclusive spirit of the competition.

The sunny weather and the festive atmosphere of the mela added to the day’s enjoyment. The team reveled in the festival vibes and the delicious traditional Bangladeshi street food offered by various vendors at the renowned Edgbaston Reservoir in Birmingham.
