Bishwanath FC threw down the gauntlet for a fourth consecutive Upazila Championship.
On Sunday, 30th June, Bishwanath Sports Association (BSA UK) held their official kit launch for the forthcoming Upazila Football Tournament 2024 at their official sponsor’s venue, Graam Bangla, Brick Lane, packed with the BSA management committee, players, sponsors, well-wishers and supporters.
Among the BSA management committees were Koyes Miah (Chairman), Yakub Ali (Vice Chair), Anfor Ali (Secretary), Khalis Miah (Manager), and Alam Sheikh (EC Member).
Among the sponsors from Graam Bangla were Guljar Khan, Khayar Ali, Shalim Miah and celebrity chef Atikur Rahman.
Among the special guests were Joynal Abedin Miah, Chair of Sonali Othith UK, the organisers of the Upazila Tournaments, ex-Speaker of Tower Hamlets Council, Cllr Ahbab Hussain, Zakir Hussain Koyes of TV One, and Bishwanath Probashi Education Trust UK Treasurer, Akhlaqur Rahman, and executive members including Azizur Rahman Raju and Abdul Rahim Ronju.
“We are extremely proud of your achievements and have the confidence in your team to win it again!” Said Guljar Khan.
“We will always be here to sponsor and support this team.” Added Guljar.
Sonalith Othith Chairman Joynal Abedin said, “Thanks for inviting me to your impressive kit launch. From what I can see, it would be a huge challenge to dislodge Team BSA from achieving their fourth consecutive Upazila Champions trophy.”
The evening proceeded with an official kit launch with some players and children of the management committee.
BSA UK, founded in 2017, aims to represent British-Bishwanthis across the UK in sports such as football, badminton and other games to showcase talents and achievements to the rest of the community.
